Bishop Mulenga baptizing new believers in Tanzania
World Christian Outreach, Inc. (WCO) was founded to spread the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, mankind's only means of salvation from sin and reconciliation to God.
We work with local indigenous Christian workers to advance the kingdom of God, making the best use of your funds. Our approach is to train, share, and care. We coordinate Bible distributions, outreach programs, Pastor and youth training, and care for people in desperate situations with local pastors and evangelists.
The Word of God is the foundation of faith. Our youth training programs revealed there are many believers who are hungry to serve God but don't have a Bible to read and understand God's will for their lives. We purchase Bibles in their language and make sure everyone attending our training has a Bible to light their path. We also assist in purchasing and distributing Bibles in other outreach efforts. Cross cultural training on the Gospel helps address non-biblical influences on our walk with God. Pressures and norms from the non-Christian communities we live in can creep into our understanding and teaching of how we should live or where we should put our trust. Historic superstitions and the health-wealth gospel is a common problem in impoverished areas. Compromise and the desire to be approved by the non-christian world is a problem in more the developed areas. As we gather and discuss what God's word says about all such issues, we help each other stay on the straight and narrow path. Read more here: Training
Jesus is very clear, we are to demonstrate our love through actions. When the non-Christian world sees us caring for desperate people, they see Jesus. It is a strong testimony to non-believers and a strong encouragement to believers. We have many opportunities to care for and assist those in need. This includes providing boarding schools for orphans in Kenya and Tanzania, helping people recover from persecution in Pakistan, assisting a refuge for albino children in Tanzania, supporting orphan care in India and Pakistan, helping brickyard slaves in Pakistan, and assisting Pastors with various needs. Some of these efforts are on-going, others are the result of unpredicted events.
